How to streamline your makeup routine

Alice Ezrow - Makeup ArtistYour daily makeup routine should take you 10 minutes or less – here are some tips for looking polished while still letting your natural beauty shine through.

  • Start by prepping your face with a moisturizer that suits your skin type. I like Davines Momo Moisturizing Anti-Aging Cream.
  • Make sure that your brows are shaped up. Pluck any strays, then use an angle brush to  fill in your brows with a matte powder shadow that is one shade darker than your hair color. Blend well to give your brows soft definition. (I prefer using shadow, because sometimes pencil can look too harsh.)
  • Apply a light cream eye shadow to your lid.
  • Use a mascara primer. I know it sounds like an extra step, but not only does a primer strengthen and extend lashes, it also helps your mascara last longer. I like MAC Prep + Prime Lash.
  • Apply mascara.
  • Then, use a powder foundation for easy, speedy application. MAC Mineralize offers easy to match tonal shades.

Fashion for All Abilities

Filed under: Uncategorized — Alice @ 7:26 pm

I got to be a part of a great event at the Inn on the Park last night. Fashion for All Abilities was put on by the UW-Waisman Center in connection with Wisconsin Fashion week. I was brought in at the last minute, but I was really glad to have had the experience of giving both men and women a chance to feel good about themselves and show there stuff on the Runway. I think I did over twenty faces in two hours, which was not easy, but it was totally worth the rush. Great job to all that took part in the show. I can’t wait to do it again next year!
